RE: XLR purchase
We havn't purchased yet, but are close still negotiating. Mainly I was concerned as to why all other 18,000lb TH have (3) 6,000lb axles to cover the weight, and Forest River went with (3) 5,200lb axles which won't cover the 18,000 weight - not taking into account the hitch weight on either vehicle.
XLR purchase
We have found an excellent floorplan in the XLR 37X12SA with the enclosed bath. It has everything we were looking for, BUT IT HAS 5200lb AXLES WITH AN 18,000lb GVWR. All other TH have 6,000lb axles on this weight. I guess this means that gross of trailer is 15,600 with hitch weight taking up the rest. Would this be a problem carrying a motorcycle or 1500lbs of stuff and not overload the trailer? any opinions?
